About Me

I work across drawing, printmaking, animation, writing, and installation to consider the traces we leave behind. Contemplative and self-reflective, my imagery evokes a quiet sense of lack and longing.

Drawn to time-intensive processes and sustained acts of care, I balance intuitive expression with more controlled and intricate detail. I trace my pencil delicately over the paper surface, as if capturing everyday moments of absence or the ways people lightly touch one another’s lives. This sensitivity extends to my printmaking, where I combine layering and ghost impressions to construct humble yet ambiguous domestic narratives.

In my animations, I manipulate time and sequence to conjure and re-construct places and people that no longer exist. I meticulously set drawings in motion as part of an impossible attempt to revitalise memory or bring life back. I write prose and poetry to complement my visual work. The texts contrast playful language with doubtful questioning, adding another layer to the self-reflexivity that runs throughout.

The diverse elements of my practice are combined in installations, creating intimate spaces where the audience is put into the role of both witness and voyeur, as they are asked to reflect on the traces they will leave behind.
